Welcome to the CRS Home Page!

The Citation Retrieval System (CRS) is the US Forest Service Fire Sciences Lab's database that houses references on the biology, ecology, and fire respnses of organisms in North America. CRS contains more than 60,000 citations, which are used to support the Fire Effects Information System (FEIS) . You are welcome to search CRS to find citations! Please be aware that the Fire Lab is not a copying service or lending library.

Use the to find the exact keywords you need for searching CRS. The thousands of keywords in CRS allow you to locate information by subject, species, and other topics. However, because of the number of topics keyworded, especially plant species, you will probably need to examine the keyword list before you can search the citation database successfully.

Use the function to search by author, date, title, keyword, or other information. Look for tips and examples on the search page.

Enjoy!
